Bringing on the happy thoughts

So what do you do when your mind goes strange places and you know it?
What is it with the uncontrollable thoughts that hit you and scare off the positivity?
The eating-bananas-makes-you-happy advice suddenly seems stupid. I sincerely tried eating all those healthy/unhealthy types of happy fruit/carbs and all they do is either momentary or zip.
Personally I'm really not much of a chocolate eater, I know-shocker!, and my mind's pretty smart.
My thoughts seem clingy enough to stay put. My workout sessions don't do it.
So I tried cooking. Yes, that old unfeministic thing.
This type of culinary creativity practically burns off the negative and feeds the spirit.
Moreover, it brings a lot of loving compliments.
